LILLA MARY HARRIET CLEARWATER Lilla Mary Harriet Clearwater was born in Miami, Manitoba in 1926 and passed away after a long and courageous struggle with cancer in her care home in Beacon Hill Lodge, with family holding vigil by her side, on June 7, 2011. Harriet is survived by her daughter Diane (Robert) Tench, and her two sons Bruce (Liz) Clearwater, and Evan Clearwater. Harriet leaves to mourn her passing her sister Edith, her brother Roy, her beloved grandchildren Ken, Patrick, Brian, Dalice, Jennifer, Melissa, Ainsley, Jessie, Lexa and Casha, and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and soulmate Charles William Clearwater and her son Hugh Charles Clearwater. Harriet was a beautiful woman, one to aspire after. She was always full of life even at 84. She was loved and sweetly embraced by all who had the opportunity to meet her, and was embraced by most as Gramma C. She was a gracious and generous woman. She loved to travel and took her last trip to British Columbia only last fall to visit her sister in Chilliwack. She loved nothing more than to dance, and even dance the night away if she could get away with it. She was full of love and hugs for everyone and stopped for every baby. She was young at heart and a social butterfly. Harriet loved to go out to eat and was happy go lucky wherever she was so long as she had loved ones in tow. Thank you to all the nurses and care workers at Beacon Hill Lodge for all their loving support and care for our Mother/Grandmother. We will never forget the love and care you gave her in her vulnerable days. Memorial service will be held at the Roseisle Pentecostal Church, on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. The family would be honoured if you would include the color purple in your wardrobe to honour Harriet as she was known as purple Grandma' by her Grandkids. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 in Harriet's memory.
